Greg Woodman
Board Member
Greg lives in State College, PA, along with his wife, Anita. They have three adult children: Brad, Joe, and Nate. Joe recently married Cassie on May 11, and the family eagerly anticipates Brad's wedding in September, also to a woman named Cassie.
Greg is involved with Run with Heart, a cause “close to his heart”, especially after experiencing a Sudden Cardiac Arrest while running the Presque Isle half marathon in July 2023 with Joe and Nate. Through an extraordinary twist of fate, some remarkable individuals used their CPR training to bring him back to life. With survival rates for out-of-hospital cardiac arrest being less than 9%, Greg feels an immense sense of gratitude for these everyday heroes. His journey of recovery and advocacy has allowed him to connect with these lifesavers and fellow survivor Vicki, further fueling his passion for promoting CPR training.
It is with great joy and pride that Greg supports and collaborates with a dedicated team of volunteers who are tirelessly teaching CPR to many. Their enthusiasm and commitment are truly inspiring, and Greg feels honored to be a part of such a vital mission.
In addition to cheering on the team at Run with Heart, Greg teaches an Entrepreneurial Leadership class at Penn State and owns a company called Affinity Connection Inc., whose mission is to connect people to what they love. He considers it a profound blessing to be surrounded by a crew of steadfast advocates for CPR training. Greg’s life was saved by CPR and feels incredibly fortunate to contribute to a foundation that not only saves lives but also transforms them. Run with Heart has profoundly changed his life, and he remains deeply grateful for the opportunity to support this incredible team of people “bringing CPR training to life”.
